Why MovieGoods Is Different!
MovieGoods is a company that specializes solely in the sale of movie memorabilia products over the Internet. As such, we know the business inside and out like nobody else.
In an effort to be as professional as possible, our auctions differ from those offered by other eBay sellers. Here are some of the key differences:
- MovieGoods will always describes its auction items accurately. We are acutely aware of the difference between a "theatrical advance," "theatrical release," "theatrical re-release", "video release" and the often misrepresented "reproduction" posters. Some eBay sellers are genuinely unclear, a very few others can be intentionally deceptive about the nature of the products they sell.
- We always clearly identify the condition of each item listed for auction. We will never intentionally misrepresent the condition of a particular product. We have learned that full condition disclosure results in no surprises for buyers and we can keep our returns from auction sales to a minimum. We will caution those buyers who insist on perfect mint copies, (unless otherwise noted) most of the vintage merchandise we sell has at one time or another been on display at a theatre. This results in merchandise that will have some condition idiosyncrasies. So always remember, if perfection is what your after. Call us first at 1-866-679-0118 before you bid on an item to be sure!
- MovieGoods owns some
unique, expensive pieces which when auctioned have to be reserved. As a consistent
course of business we prefer to use the No Reserve approach with our auctions. We think it can be
annoying to spend time and effort reading about an eBay item, make a reasonable
bid, only to find that the seller had an unrealistic reserve bid set.
- We use top of the line
commercial scanners to obtain accurate images of posters we carry. Many
eBay sellers' photos are taken with low-end digital cameras and usually
don't capture details and flaws in the original, and rarely depict colors
accurately. Many poster images on eBay are taken at odd angles, or skewed.
On occasion, some eBay sellers take or edit their pictures in ways that
can mask or hide damage. Of course, even in our highest display resolution,
you often can't read the tiniest text fonts used in a 27" x 41" movie poster,
but we show images as accurately and as reasonably as our scanners will
allow.
- We clearly identify
the exact shipping cost, or if the cost may vary, we provide adequate information
so you can compute the shipping cost.
- For non-US buyers,
we understand how to ship internationally. We welcome all International customers.
Unfortunately, due to widespread credit card fraud in certain countries,
we do have some restrictions on available payment options for customers in a few countries.
- We accept payment using
the widest possible variety of options. These include payment by credit
card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover), by postal money order, by
bank money order or cashier's check, by personal check (for funds drawn
on U.S. or Canadian banks only), and via PayPal. Please
read our security policy with regard
to how we protect your personal information. Note: You should
never mail cash through the mail. If you are uncomfortable disclosing
your credit card information over our secure Internet connection, you can
send us your credit card information via telephone by calling us toll-free at

- MovieGoods guarantees
customer satisfaction! When insured, we guarantee your order against any
bending, tearing, breaking or any other kind of damage which may occur during
the shipping process. If you receive a package that has been damaged during
shipping, please notify us within 5 days of receiving the package.

in any way unsatisfied with the items you have received from MovieGoods, please
contact our customer service department
within 15 days of receiving your order and we will be happy to assist you.
MovieGoods will credit you for all products returned to us in re-sellable
condition. Please contact our customer support staff before sending back any
items.
