Information About Movie Posters

Jules Cheret created the first movie poster in 1890 for a short film entitled "Projections Artistiques". This was a lithograph, which pictured a young woman holding a placard that stated the times of the shows. Since then, movie posters have come a long way! They have evolved into an art form, and are collected not only for their sentimental value, but also for their outstanding artwork and in many cases, as an investment.
