Straight-forward performances from most of the cast in spite of the weak storyline. Writer Widen wrote from experience--he used to be a fireman; real-life Chicago firefighters were reportedly very happy with the realistic and intense fire scenes. Forget the plot and just watch the fires. Also available in a letterboxed version.
