Alcoholic ex-cop Jericho Cane (Schwarzenegger) becomes a reluctant savior, who must battle a literal Satan (Byrne) who has the opportunity to rule both Heaven and Hell if he can make young Christine (Tunney) his bride before the millennial midnight. There's lots of action, Arnold looks great (post heart surgery), and Byrne is a very sexy devil but there's also an excessive amount of gore and silly mumbo-jumbo to suffer through.
