Stolen Kisses
Product Details
AKA: "Baisers Voles"
Year: 1968
Cast: Jean-Pierre Leaud, Delphine Seyrig, Michael (Michel) Lonsdale, Claude Jade
Directed By: Francois Truffaut
Sequel to "The 400 Blows," the story of Antoine Doinel: his unsuccessful career prospects as a detective in Paris, and his initially awkward but finally successful adventures with women. Made during Truffaut's involvement in a political crisis involving the sack of Cinematique Francais director Henri Langlois. Truffaut dedicated the film to Langlois and the Cinematique, but it is a thoroughly apolitical, small-scale, charming (some say too charming) romantic comedy, Truffaut-style. Followed by "Bed and Board."
